What you mean there was actually other meetings on when Cheltenham was on?
I was so in my Cheltenham bubble....

Can be bleak on the Rowley course at the wrong time of year did the Craven meeting once and froze my nuts off.
Don't like the track as you might as well be watching drag racing

Been to newmarket a good few times, i love it but a mate of mine had a place in near by Dalham so used to stay there. No idea what its like on the train etc.
1000'Gs day is my prefered, bit less crowed.
the Epsom Derby and Wednesday at Royal Ascot are always my favourite race days.

Thanks for the replies .
Mate is a punter who's not into overly into the social side of it so track facilities won't bother him..I may get a bit bored though over two days.

Agree with KIA on this. The course itself is a bit of a letdown. Been to a few 'big' days there and not as good as a normal day at some of the other courses.
I'm getting old though so packed, expensive places outside of football are gradually coming off the list.

Free shuttle from the station from a couple of hours before the first race and back after the last or walk down to the high street, have a beer and grab a cab.
As far as the actual courses, they are both pretty shit compared to the other big courses.
